Trent Students For Literacy (TSL) is a student-run levy group at Trent University dedicated to fostering the academic growth and literacy development of children and youth in the Peterborough community. Our mission is to provide essential support in math and literacy, share the joys of reading, and enhance reading and writing skills through a variety of engaging programs and events all free of charge. Literacy is crucial for personal and academic success. By helping young people develop strong literacy and math skills, we empower them to reach their full potential. Literacy enables people to access information, communicate effectively, and think critically. Our tutoring program also emphasizes digital literacy, preparing children and youth for modern educational and career demands by incorporating digital resources and tools and teaching students how to use technology for research, problem-solving, and communication effectively
